Team Falcon Gaming

Welcome to Team Falcon Gaming.  We’re still testing things out, but as you can see, all of our Gaming posts are below and working just fine!  Further testing is needed for our different console channels.  To your left, you will see Service Status and Up To Date? boxes.

Service Status
We are providing you with a quick link to your console’s service status page just in case there are any issues with your online services.  We can’t keep an eye on everything at every single minute of the day, so this was the next best option.

Up To Date?
In the 6th generation of gaming (Xbox, PS2, Wii, etc.), console firmware was able to be updated through physical media or an internet connection.  With the 7th generation (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U) and beyond, consoles had a lot more services available (first and third party) and it was much easier to add new features and address some bugs as well.  We want to make sure that your console is up to date so you’re not missing out on anything.  We will only show you the latest “public” version.  If you’re part of a system software testing program, your consoles update more frequently and not all version numbers are made public.

For some clarification, we will only show the previous generation and current generation.  In other words, when the PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series X are released, PS3 & Xbox 360 will be removed.

There’s a lot more planned for Team Falcon Gaming, so as always … stay tuned!

Hey guys, Joe here for Team Falcon. With everything that has been going on in the real world, it has taken its toll with my progress in regards to the Team Falcon network as a whole.  Plenty of things have been changing in my life that have kept me super distracted from taking care of a whole lot of things … including myself, if I were to be honest.  As we roll into August, things are starting to wind down a little bit enough that I can finally get back to work.

Here’s what to expect:

Falcon Live
With Mixer no longer existing, Falcon Live is taking the appropriate steps to ensure that all of our content is placed in a new general location at our new Facebook page.  As a reminder, we are no longer hosting our content on YouTube.  Yes, there is a YouTube account associated with our name, but it is the private account of our network’s founder.  Yes, you are still more than welcome to go there and subscribe to his content if you choose.

Team Falcon Gaming
Right now, we just have the base layout of our gaming page.  There’s been some new developments with all 3 of the major consoles lately, and I haven’t had a chance to keep up with them.  In due time, more updates are coming.  Stay tuned.

The other thing I want to touch base on is that we are aware that not all features are functioning correctly with all of our themes.  Depending on the theme you’re viewing, you may run into some display errors.  Again, we are aware of the situation, and we’re working on ensuring that all features are implemented correctly sitewide.  We appreciate your patience in this matter, and we’re continuing to do what we can to ensure that no matter where you are in Team Falcon, you can do it in whichever way you choose.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns … please feel free to leave a comment below.

So, I was looking at Facebook, and going over the different content I have between Team Falcon & Falcon Live, and I made some startling discoveries.  While I made the Falcon Live Facebook page on June 22nd, I uploaded most of my content just 4 days ago, and I have 1 video that has been reached out to over 6,300 people on one video!  I was not expecting that whatsoever!  We have decided to announce on both Facebook pages that we will be shutting down Team Falcon (on Facebook) as of July 18th (4 days before Mixer’s closure) and retaining Falcon Live only … mostly considering Falcon Live has a lot more available content and has already proven itself more worthy than YouTube.

The Team Falcon website will remain and feature “one stop” access for everything in the Falcon brand.  From Team Falcon Gaming to showing live content to the (potential) return of the Team Falcon Shop where you can buy a t-shirt, sweatshirt, mug, hat … whatever you desire.  Speaking about Team Falcon Gaming, we’re needing a little more help when it comes to content for the PlayStation 4 (and PS5) as well as the Nintendo Switch.  If you’re willing to help us, that would be amazing!  No, we are not able to offer you payment at this time, but I’m sure we can figure something out!

As of today, we’re in the process of relaunching our Gaming project.  Our biggest problem that we had the first time around was being able to post a news story (like this one) and have it be posted on a page that we want it on.  Falcon Live was our first “test”, and it worked exactly the way we wanted it to!  With the new Team Falcon Gaming, we’ll be able to post news stories on our site as well as the Team Falcon Gaming page (and if it’s console based, it will also be posted on that specific console page as well)!  We’re super excited to try out these new changes!

On top of all of that, we’ve also come across some new coding to help us test out some more features to disable things on our main pages unless you’re on the Beta site.  This will help when we’re pushing out new features that we know will be broken unless you’re in a specific user class.  More to come on this at a later date.
